SHRINK THE GIANT
Shrink the Giant spans the sonic spectrum of the indie Alt space. Brash -- but confessional -- female vocals tell stories over layers of guitars, percussion, vintage to modern synths, and the occasional menagerie of orchestral instruments, performed by the classically trained band members. Common "you sound likes" often include female-led groups like Paramore and No Doubt; with tonal references ranging from The Beatles to Bowie and Beck to Grouplove.
A recent concert attendee said "I felt like I was watching the Talking Heads in 1979..." Not your typical 5-piece rock group, Shrink the Giant changes instrumentation from one song to the next. It's not boring, to say the least.
